SoIBio has actively participated in the excellent conference 2nd ISCB Latin America that was hold in Santiago de Chile organized by Dr. Francisco Melo in the Universidad Católica de Chile. This meeting hold the formal appointment of SoIBio as AFFILIATED REGIONAL GROUP of ISCB, and so it is the starting point for present and future collaboration between both Societies to promote Bioinformatics and Computational Biology in Latin-America / Ibero-America.
